Managed to survive my first 2 days of new year. Been quite a zoning out session for me. It's the first time that i felt so out of place, esp during the new year season. For the past few new years, it's still not tat bad. It's onli this year that it's painfully obvious that i am really bored. For the first time in many months, that i actually spent some hours watching the tv. It's been, i believe, at least 1 year+ that i last watched a show on tv. I should have brought a book with me, at least i can spend the time reading or wat. The main problem is that have to respect the ppl there, as new year is a time spent for gatherings. In the end, managed to spend my time either looking for food, watching my relatives play cards and watching watever is showing at tv at that time.
Spent my 1st Day, visiting my eldest uncle, where all my other aunties will gather at his house. Woke up rather late for the visit and managed to reach there ard afternoon. Seems to me that we are the last to reach there. As usual, the cards games are already in session when we arrived. The noise level there is already very untolerable, but seeing them enjoying themselves. So in the end, chosed to ignore the noise and juz to do some small talk. The rest of the time is spent on food, watching them play cards and the darn tv. Totally zoning out in the process. After that session, actually my other aunts was intending to visit another distant relative(Someone that i entirely have no impression of). So my mum and i chose to skip the visit, and head back home. Taking a break of it all.
2nd Day, woke up early for the dim sum session at Toa Payoh as per the norm...Amazingly, our family is not the last to reach there, despite my sis waking up late and leaving the house later than planned. Managed to enjoy the dim sum there, the taste of the food ain't that fabulous. I believe is the relatives all being there, that matters. Although some of my aunts are rather annoying, they are actually nice ppl. Juz hope that i dun hav to chat with them tat much, i really need some peace and quiet(Esp when i dun have enuff sleep the nite before). After the food, we went to another aunt's place, for another round of gathering and the usual card playing. This time round, i actually spent my time trying to fix my cousin PC, rather than trying to find stuff to do. After fixing the PC, after which my cousin showed me the websites he visited during his spare time, that he tik that should have shown me.
After my aunt's place, my family had a detour to my sis new house, at SengKang area. It have a rather lovely decor there. All thanks to my sis creative-ness. Was having alot of pain in my eyes by then. But after seeing the place, was glad that i went there. It's good to know where my sis intend to stay, after all, she's family. Although we seldom cross paths, in the years we have spent together. She's still the one who doted me the most. Apart from my brother. It's not the most loving family i had, but it's the only one that i have(or u can say i HAD).
