Relationships...

All along, i believed that the idea of being with someone, some of us call it boyfriend/girlfriend, carries with the idea of accepting someone as who he/she is. Perhaps i am just too naive to believe that people can be so accepting of another individual.

It does seem to be that, most people who are in a 'relationship' tends to either, try to change the other person, or change themselves to adapt to the other person. Although alot of people may argue that, bad habits should be changed. I am of the opinion that, it's a conscious effort on the person in question, rather than being forced upon by the other party. "You can bring a horse to the river, but can't force it to drink."

They always come up with the argument that, "They CARE, that's why they bother". It seems to me that, if they are being appreciated, they wouldn't have such a problem. Eg. Asking the "significant other" to quit smoking, but do the "significant other" themself, want to do so in the first place?

It's such a pain, to hear people grumbling, grumbling and grumbling. Just because their "significant other" don't conform to what they wanted.
