Cost-cutting measures...

Actually, did the arrangement to terminate the existing internet connection few days back. As the contract is finally over, and i don't think i ever need such a huge bandwidth. To the contrary of all the brain-washing advertisements, saying what we'll 'need'. Within this materialistic world which we live in.

Although i hate to say this, but i never saw people who really uses up the bandwidth that they 'supposingly' subscribed, with one or two exceptions. With the clever marketing, and of course the usage of words, from the various providers. "Up to XXX", the phrase which they use. Doesn't mean that there's a minimum speed that they'll provide you with. It just means that that's the maximum that you might reach. With overseas sites, it might happen in the circumstances where, One, Lady Luck smiled at you. Two, the stars are alighed in that particular fashion, maybe once in a hundred years? Anyway, that's not important. Since the test sites they setup, most probably will be located locally. So no matter what speedtest utilites they provide you with, will only provide the local bandwidth measurements only.

And they still dare to charge so high, gawd. Whatever are they thinking of?
