Tourist...

Been having the "being the 'tourist'" feeling of late. It all started when i went to Chinatown a couple of months back? That's when i realised that i am more of a tourist than anything. There's some sense of deja vu, but the 'already' weak link of belonging here have ceased to exist. To think, the whole damnable place is just filled with china nationals. They are just everywhere, no matter where you turn, where you look. I think, the only place where you might not see them, is...little india?or maybe the outlying islands?

Ever wondered, how did so many of 'them' appear in such a short while? And to think the amount of, beggers, can/cardboard collectors/karang guni man/cleaners all multiplied by dunno how many times. What baffles me is that, what will happen to the elderly? Especially those who depended on those for a living? I really had enough of the 'feel-good' papers. No matter what happens, they will just downplay the bad, and exaggerate the good stuff.

It must be tough being the editor of the straitstimes website?especially with the forever changing headlines...
