Can't please everybody...

In response to a certain piece of news/information...

I never did believe that we are able to please everybody in the world. Especially in view that, in an attempt to try to 'please' someone, you'll in turn piss off another person. So it'll just turn out to be pissing off everybody involved or even those that ain't involved. I find it a 'stupid' act in itself. i didn't expect my workplace to have such people around(expecting me to conform eh?), thus i was kinda surprised when i realised that it is so. I believe that as long as i get the things that i am tasked with done, some things can be overlooked (and actually i am just following the culture there, or so i think?). It's not as though i talked for the whole day, and neglected my work. I do see other people doing that, does that mean that "some people is more 'equal' than others" eh? Verifying data is painful to the eyes, not to say mind-numbing, and with a blur screen, doubly so. And if don't talk, so how? Just put up a damn face and shut up? People talk to me, i should reply just 'yes' or 'no'? or just 'tsk' them when they talk?

Now can complain about me talking, so what's going to be next? The way i dress? The way i looked? That i did not gel my hair on some days? Or even the way i walk? My gawd.

p.s. i am here only for a year, and i seriously don't think i will still be here after the project ends.
p.s.s. Anyway, i wouldn't remember the incident anyway, life's too short to be bothered by this kind of rubbish anyway.
