Continued sending out resumes(Urgency involved). Due to the fact that, the longer i am out of a job, the further stretched my finances will be(although i do have abit of saving, but it definitely wouldn't be enough for 2 months). Although things are 'looking' bad, i don't think that things are getting bad, yet. Cutted down on going out(didn't inform people that i am out of work, and just gave some 'reasons' to beg off), and suspended the gym sessions(till further notice).
Gave out flowers for the first time in my relatively 'short' life. Well, as far as i remember, it IS the first time that i actually gave flowers to people. And to think, that i didn't even give flowers to my 'so-called' ex-gf. Gawd... On a side note, as i find the prices of online florists, relatively expensive. Thus i decided to do the delivery myself. I do find it abit embarrassing, carrying the flowers on the train for 17 stations
Started on clearing my standing drawers. Well, progress ain't that bad, cleared one big bag of rubbish, and created one small mess of stuff on the floor. I couldn't bring myself to clearing it sometime back, while i still have the 'job' card. But since, i am currently jobless, it's better to start clearing.
Went for two interviews on the same day, namely one face to face, and one over the phone. The first, is having a phone call on the 'holiday', informing me that i am not selected for the position that i have applied for(admin related). But as they have other openings, they wanted to check with me whether i am interested. Since i don't have any offers at the moment, i decided to go for the interview and see how does the whole thing works out. It seems like, there's a data migration to be done for them, and they need someone who's able to pick up stuff fast, and ensures the data migration proceeds smoothly. As there is deadlines to adhere to, so OT's expected, and yet unclaimable.
Well, i guess my hope for my job to be busy is being fulfilled. Glad that it's fulfilled at such a nice timing also(barely two weeks). Although it's just a one year contract, i know that after this, i'll get to have another skillset to work upon.
The second is a phone interview for a helpdesk position. Although i hate to say this, but i feel that it's kinda like a downgrade. No matter for my pay, or experience wise. Not to say the non-existent advancement option. Sigh. As the first interview called me back before the phone interview, and gave me an informal offer. I decided to decline the phone interview offer.
While waiting for the formal offer, i did 'spring' cleaning on my clothings, shoes. Turned out that, i cleared out another bag of clothes, namely my previous work polo Ts, etc. In the end of it, i am left with only one drawer of T-shirts/polo Ts and another drawer of shorts/jeans. My old working shirts/pants are all in the wash, and most probably, some of them are faded and will be disposed of. As what my best friend have mentioned, it's as though i had managed to grab a handful of clothes in a fire. Shoes wise, left one sports shoes, one running shoes, one working shoes, one casual shoes and two pairs of sandles. Quite bad eh?
Lastly, i finally got the formal offer in the afternoon, while meeting up my best friend on his birthday. I'll like to thank everybody that i know, that i managed to secure a job in such a short while. For all those of you who have asked around for me, for those who have prayed for me in your own way, and for those who had simply be a friend for me, i would like thank you again. i am certainly blessed to have you all around. Although i do wonder at my own worthiness, to have friends such as you all.
p.s. Took me 2 hours to write this lengthy post. Gawd...
