It's like a dream...

Had this sudden realisation that i actually wasted 3 years of my life. Did nothing worthy to mention, and had totally NO savings to speak of. It was kind of a shock, as i try to remember whatever that i might have done in the 3 years.

From what i can vaguely remember, every month was a major struggle. Living from paycheck to paycheck, having paydays as the only thing to look forward to. The first job, which i was sent to a school, was something short of a major disaster. It's the first time i realise that the employer dun neccessarily will prepare u for the job at hand. What mine juz did is juz dump me at the school, having the person who i am taking over, handing over everything to me. Everything was a mess, as it is. Inventory unclear, missing stuff and failing computers. But well, it took me 1/2 year to settle everything, then i burnt out. Rushing from here to there, it was time well spent. The only unfortunate thing is that there aint any advancement route at all.

After which, is the 2nd project i was transferred to, after the sch's tender is lost to another company. Well, that's where i started to lose track of the holidays. And time lost all relevency to me. Months flew by, without me realising. Work become the norm for me, having work day in day out. Weekends are often burnt, and in the span of the time i was there, learnt a few things. Having a higher income, in the means of OT, juz resulted in higher expenditure. After minus off every conceivable expenditure, savings is next to nothing. Earn more = Spend more. In the end, nothing changed. Went aussie after quitting the job, and spent off watever that i had saved. It's like, back to square one for me. Back to starting from 0.

Jobless for the nxt 2 1/2 months after which i came back, is juz the limit for me. Cleared up everything and started to borrow from my mum. Sigh. I believed during that it's either my requirements for the job, or juz plain bad luck. After which, i got a call from my sch which i was at in my first project. They were looking for another staff to assist in my previous jobscope when i was there. I hesitated for once, as i am not really thinking of going back to the same jobscope. But well, i really needed the money as it is. So hell, i went back and here i am. Doing the same stuff, yet trying to learn new tricks.

After almost a year, managed to repay those that i owe, mainly my mum. Started to take over the payment of the house, and to plan for things that i want to do. Sad to say, still not much savings of late, but well. At least the installment payment is paid promptly, almost had it lapsed for last month. And to think i din really buy anything at all, even not having any expensive food of late. Finally woke up, after dreaming for so long...

p.s. Not loaning ppl anymore money for the time being(mayb if it's urgent), nid to consider my future. =)
