Complaints...Complaints...

Been doing alot of OTs again for the past few days. Especially with alot of cock-ups at my current workplace. Juz hope that i wouldn't b 'dooced'(Juz kidding..., actually was hoping that i would b dooced as a matter of fact.)

Everything started before i went for my reservist this year... It all started when the Call despatcher moved to KL(Yes! It's KL you din read wrongly...). Giving them chances and chances again dun seem to do the trick. Before the move, every problems out there is still manageable. As they know what to despatch to each individual, so as to get the problems solved in the least minimal time. This resulted in the least amount of OTs that i have done, and i aint complaining about it. It's juz that the KL dispatcher really makes me flare up. One thing is the accent, trying hard to understand them is already a problem. Trying to get a coconut tree out there on a ad-hoc basis, in sg, is really a "mission impossible" thing. Most of the time was wasted trying to understand what they are trying to say. Got once, i took at least 25-30 minutes on the fone juz trying to find out on what exactly are they trying to tell me. In the end, can't even remember the name of the despatcher. =x Nowadays they juz keep throwing out 'incidents' for us to call the customer all that. Saying that they are not technically trained. Arranging appointments for customers become our job already, taking calls and throwing them back seem the norm. Most of the time spent doing a dispatcher's job. Can't they juz employ someone who's the slightest technically trained? Don't seem to have this kind of problems happening when the despatch is still in Sg worz.

If that's not bad enough... We have this bunch of ppl in the Service Centre, who's job is supposingly sieve thru all the incidents that are logged in during office hours... So as to minimize the problem resolution time. In the end, they are juz redundant. Esp when they suspected some faulty part is from another different machine, from machines which the customer dun even have. It's really a waste of time spent in getting a part which is totally not relevant to the problem. Another hugh amount of time is spent in waiting f0r parts. Its rather amazing to spend so much time out there...Juz doing the neccessary things, meanwhile doing nothing...

Another is the INCREDIBLE planning schedule that's being planned by the team leader, who he himself is not doing standbys all that...With his incredible leadership, we managed to have continual standbys..For example, sat, sun and mon. All by the same person. At this point in time, as our health still can take it. In the long run, everyone will surely drop. Even when alot of ppl have already reflected to him, regarding his incredible planning, nothing is being done about it. And that's not the end, he ain't anything good also. Helping him to do stuff doesn't mean that he will help u back or what. It juz means that he will keep on arrowing u to do stuff. A never-ending cycle, most probably he will relent(when one of us drop dead..).

Actually before everything changed, the work there is still manageable. Even when it's high key that time. Nowadays is low key, yet can have so much work to be done. Really can't imagine how it's going to be, once high key comes in. Nowadays they are going to harp more on procedures, which never did work for our team. I heard from my colleagues that previously there's someone who tried to push us to go by their procedures, all my colleagues complied, and alot of problems occurred. Guess it's time to go by the book, and the darn book it's going to be. Think it's not going to be simple life for me anymore.

Tik i better cut short my grumbling...And let it be... For better or for worse, at least i tried to do my part. =)
